Buy some trees. I suggest Japanese Maple, and I suggest buying them from PJC98's Ebay Store. Japanese Maples are good for beginners, and that store has a good selection and service.
OR, you could buy a starter kit that provides you with a tree and some basics.
Decide on what you want to do with the trees. Grow them if you need to do so beforehand.
Buy some tools. I suggest buying from LA Bamboo Direct. They have quality tools for inexpensive prices.
